Our Story
SwingPass was created because we all wished we could play in more casual, competitive golf events besides a charity outing once a year. To us, there is nothing better than getting friends together to compete in a fun, laid-back golf event (even if you might not have a serious shot at winning it). We wanted anyone to be able to experience that on a regular basis without having to be a member at a club, pay an arm and a leg for an entrance fee, or be grandfathered into the annual charity outing. This desire is what led us to create SwingPass.
One of our priorities was making the events welcoming to any type of golfer: guys, girls, great golfers, newcomers that can barely get it off the tee, and especially that one friend who spends 90% of their day in the trees but brings unmatched energy. The point is, our events truly are for ANYONE. The non-intimidating nature of the events attract laid-back golfers and make it easy to make new friends while you compete alongside them for prizes, and of course pride.
If you are someone that loves playing in leagues with friends, meeting new people, some friendly competition, and (maybe) some cold ones then SwingPass is for you. We can't wait to see you at an event sometime soon, and when you see one of us shanking it just remember that SwingPass was built BY the average golfer FOR the average golfer.
Peter Marchetti
After playing for years in his "locally famous" annual charity event, The Twisted Tea Off, Peter wanted to make these kind of get togethers a regular thing. He loves to turn anything into a competition and played basketball for a year at Colby College in Maine before transferring and becoming a washed up athlete at Clemson. Before doing it formally, Peter and Jen would talk shop about SwingPass while working together at Lincoln Tavern in Southie (if you're there on a Tuesday night come say hi). Although he did not grow up a huge golfer, his day job is also in the industry doing sustainability consulting for private clubs with Danny.
Hometown: Norwell, MA
Favorite Course: My favorite course might have to be the Walker Course at my alma mater, Clemson University. If you ever play, don't forget to take note of the tiger paw green on 17!
Favorite Golf Memory: In a charity golf outing with my dad and grandfather we Eagled using my drive, my dad's approach shot, and my grandfather's 20 foot putt. The tri-generation eagle will be tough to top.
Jen Tulloch
Ever since getting turned down to join 3 different groups of guys on the tee, Jen has been stuck on making golf more approachable for women and changing the idea that it is only played with "the boys." She not only has a passion for golf, but also owns and operates her own home organizing business, Orderly Oasis. She has a golden retriever named Brewster and loves any excuse to get on the course!
Hometown: Brewster, MA
Favorite Course: My favorite course without a doubt is Princeville Makai Golf Club on Kaua'i, Hawaii!
Favorite Golf Memory: Last years Summer Classic with SwingPass! (Check out the recap video on our instagram page!)
Danny Moloy
A graduate of Holy Cross, Danny majored in backyard games- which has paid off to the tune of 8 career horseshoe championships. He's the guy who shamelessly tries to get you to join a different sports pool every week (you know you want to). Outside of SwingPass, Danny sells software and services to private clubs with Pete.
Hometown: Westwood, MA or Dennis, MA depending on the season
Favorite Course: It's tough to pick a favorite but I consider Bayberry Hills in Yarmouth, MA to be my home course.
Favorite Golf Memory: My best golf memory is when I eagled the 9th hole on the Milton course at Granite Links in front of rambunctious crowd on the Crossing 9's deck.
